Operation of a heat exchanger with finned tubes

As described, finned tubes are an important part of heat exchangers. In a heat exchanger, a hot medium flows through the tube, the base of the finned tubes, which heats up as a result. The finned tubes then release the heat to the environment, via the aluminum fins around the metal tubes. When applying the fins to the metal tubes, different types can be chosen, depending on the application of the finned tubes. A distinction is made between embedding the fins, extruding them, or applying them according to an L-wrap-on, a type LL or a type KL. The type of fins is determined based on the design temperature of the heat exchanger.

Striving for finned tubes of optimum quality

Delivering high quality is always our top priority. In the production of finned tubes, we use our own stocks, or we order raw materials from trusted European suppliers. After the machines have been correctly adjusted, we start with the production of a first batch of finned tubes. Where necessary, we adjust the machine slightly before we start the final production of the ordered finned tubes. We also check the quality and sizes before the finned tubes are transported to our customers. Finned tubes are securely packed in racks or wooden cases, which prevent damage to the parts.
